It was a busy first day for 2013 with almost 100 kids showing up as we started the Playmaker programme for 2013. This year the programme continues to work with kids from the Kolobe and Kanana area of Masiphumelele township and will be using football as a way to bring boys and girls together in play.
Further more, the programme will be incorporating lifeskills education through various different games and role plays to increase awareness about violence, substance abuse and HIV.
Our thanks to Nike and the Sport for Social Change Network for kitting the coaches out with Kaiser Chiefs gear. To Coaching for Hope for their continued support of the programme, and to Vimto for their assistance with transport and soccer balls.
It's going to be a great 2013. Expect a few blogs and lots of Facebook posts!
